Before our trip we watched the Best of Europe in 21 Days DVD and Tammy remarked, "I hope we get him (Reid) as our guide." And, lo and behold, Reid was our guide. We were also joined by the delightful Martin of Wales, or as we liked to call him "My Favorite Martin." Juan was also a wonderful part of our group. Not just a means of transportation, but a friend as well. Tammy was able to practice her Spanish with Juan which was an unexpected benefit.
We had a great group of people to travel with. We made new friendships and admired the talents each person brought to the group. Our traveling companions were fun, friendly and adaptable. We wandered, ate and hung out with many of them during our free times. The tour would not have been half as enjoyable without great people to share it with. Taking the tour was like taking an art history course from Paris to Rome. Reid and Martin tied art, political and religious history together so well. We learned so much in those two weeks which was just what we hoped for. We also learned how to travel well, find good WCs, and eat inexpensively but well.
